    FOUNDER/OWNER

    John Boyer is a proud Tampa native with over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. His journey began after graduating from the University of Florida, when he joined a large financial firm to work alongside his father, a seasoned advisor with 42 years of investment experience. Those early years were especially meaningful, as John had the opportunity to learn directly from his father, gaining lasting lessons in integrity, building trusted client relationships, and delivering thoughtful financial guidance before his father’s retirement in 1992.

    In 1995, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to offer transparent, independent advice, John launched his own firm, John Boyer Inc., a fee-based Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.  As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, John is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of education, ethics, and client-focused service.  

    Today, he continues the legacy his father began more than 75 years ago, helping individuals and families plan confidently for the future with clarity, care, and personalized guidance.

    Outside of the office, John enjoys traveling with his wife, Tina, and their two sons. You’ll often find him cheering on the sidelines of a lacrosse game or fishing the local waters for snook, redfish, and trout.  John values the moments that make life meaningful.

  • Sarina Correa

    FINANCIAL PLANNER

    Sarina Correa brings a unique blend of compassion, service, and expertise to her role as a Financial Planner. After attending University of South Florida, Sarina began her professional journey with Hillsborough County Schools before joining our firm in 2001. As she explored new career paths beyond education, she discovered a true passion for guiding clients through life’s financial decisions and helping them plan for meaningful goals.

    Over the years, Sarina has worn many hats, always with a focus on delivering exceptional client service. Today, she plays a key role in ensuring our clients receive thoughtful, personalized support, while also managing the firm’s compliance and marketing initiatives. Her work helps keep our firm competitive and connected, leveraging modern tools and technology to better serve our clients.

    When she’s not advising clients, Sarina enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her teenage son. She has also held board positions for several non-profits over the years leading her operational and fundraising skills. She is very passionate about mentoring small business owners locally and beyond, helping them grow sustainable, profitable ventures.

  • Lori Sexton

    OPERATIONS

    Lori Sexton joined our firm in 2021 and has been an invaluable part of the team ever since. With a sharp eye for detail and a heart for service, she ensures our operations run smoothly and that client needs are met with efficiency and care.

    Before joining John Boyer Inc., Lori served as office manager for a television production company that created programs for Jack Hanna, National Geographic, and Disney. Her career has also taken her into import management and bookkeeping, where she further developed the organizational and financial skills that now support her work with our team.

    At the firm, Lori oversees daily operations and provides essential support to both John and Sarina in delivering exceptional client service. Her diverse background and steady leadership help keep our firm running at its best.

    Outside of work, Lori is a lifelong learner who enjoys adventure travel with her husband, lending a helping hand wherever she can, and showing love to every dog and cat she meets.
